This week, we have a giveaway from Knitter’s
Pride. It is their Platina 16-inch circular needle
set, and if you are a fan of knitting hats, this is an amazing needle set to have. I use it myself all the time. In fact, it’s missing a set. This is my personal…my personal set, and
it’s missing a pair of needles because I’m using them right now. This needle set is US sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,
9, 10, or metric sizes 3.5 to 6.0. You have two 16-inch cords to work with, and
it also comes with all the keys and end stoppers, and everything else that you need. And with Knitter’s Pride needles, the needle
sets always come in these great cases, so it’s easy to keep them tidy and find what
you need. Each needle has its own little elastic slot,
and the back, behind the needles, is a pocket for the cords and everything else. Now, I wanted to show you how to attach the
cords, so let’s go ahead and take a close-up. Here is a close-up of the needles. You can see the sizes. I’m not sure you can see this, but the sizes
are etched in the side so you can always tell what size you have. They’re beautiful chrome-plated with a nice
long taper and a sharp tip. It’s really good for working more complicated
stitches. So, you take the needle size that you need
for whatever you’re knitting, sleeves or hats or whatever, smaller circumference knitting,
tighten it up, and then use one of the keys through the base of the cord, and that gives
you something to hang onto so you can tighten it up the rest of the way. Then, you knit your project, and you just
do the reverse. Well, once you tighten it up with the key,
you get this great smooth join that’s not going to snag your knitting. Then, once you’re done, you can just reverse
the process, take it apart, and put everything back where it will be easy to find again in
your case. Instructions for entering this giveaway are
coming up in the video. Good luck.

  5. Would love this set. I cannot make enough hats, seems every winter I decide to grow my hair out and something needs to cover that mess up 🙂

  6. I bought a sampler set of Knitter's Pride with all their tips. I've been picking them up here and there since. A short set has been on my wish list for a while now. I've been trying to hold out for the short set of Zings which are supposed to come out this fall but it's hat season and they're not out yet. The Platinas would be a nice set to have instead. Love the tips.

  7. I love these Very Pink videos. So informative and easy to understand. Whenever I have a problem the first place I check for help is Very Pink. Well done. Thanks for all you do.

  8. Love love love Knitters pride needles. I always make hats for my family for the winter and would love to have a set of 16" needles to do so this winter. Thanks for all your giveaways.

  9. I also have fibromyalgia and OA… knitting, crocheting, embroidery, … , just creating keeps my mind off thinking about the pain. Keeps me more sane. Always interested in trying out different sets of needles and different yarns. Thanks for the opportunity to win a set. Being on disability is tough for buying new toys 🙂

  10. Would love to win these Knitter's Pride needles.  Have never tried them, and don't have any interchangeables.   Hats are my favorite to knit.

  11. Staci, thank you for all your wonderful videos on knitting. Yours are my goto when I get stuck on a technique. I know I will always find a helpful video. This needle set looks lovely.

  12. I'm knitting in Sweden and my LYS is unfortunately not a very good one. I'm a bit apprehensive when it comes to ordering online, which means I'm stuck with the few circulars I have at home. I have come to the conclusion that straight needles aren't for me. With chronic pain, circulars and dpns are what I have left to use. Keeping my fingers crossed for this beautiful set of needles 💜

  13. I am subscribed to your channel because I mainly sew and crochet. I can knit, but haven't done much in awhile. I saw some of your tutorials and decided to begin knitting again. Your channel inspires me to pick up my needles again.

  14. Hi Staci,  I have been knitting for about a year now. I took lessons for many months and they were quite pricey. In all the months that I went for weekly (felt more like social meetings) I did not learn anything compared to what you have taught me on your videos.  You present clear, concise and easy to follow directions and visuals.  Even if I don't win the knitting needle set I absolutely will not stop watching your videos as well as referring your youtube site to others.Thank you.

  15. Great videos. I am currently knitting hats for relatives with some single knitter's pride circular needles. They work great. This would be a great set for any knitter.

  16. Thank you so much for doing what you do. Since starting to watch your knitting tutorials I have started doing double sided knitting, enterlac(my own variety where I don't need to have all of the stitches on the needles), socks and lastly I have even started to give knitting classes of my own here at my college. Thanks again please keep producing these awesome guides. Peter

  17. Thanks for offering a giveaway to us here on Youtube! Would be awesome to have a set of interchangeable needles to devote just to small projects like hats.

  18. Would love to win this set – but I'd also like to thank you for your fabulous tutorials. I'm currently working on the Miss Grace Shawl I would never have figured out without you. Thank you.

  19. What an awesome needle set! Very convenient for changing needle sizes and cord lengths without having to buy them all separately!

  20. I haven't knitted any thing in a few years and decided to start a project just last weekend. These videos have been really great for helping me remember how to do the fancier stitches (just about anything other than k or p) I've forgotten. I don't know what I would do without video tutorials. Written directions just don't make sense.

  21. Ooh, I love Knitter's Pride needles, but I've yet to try any of the 16 inch tip sets. I'm planning a bunch of brioche hats for Christmas gifts this year, and these would be great for making them!

  22. Staci, your videos have been a tremendous resource for me as I am trying to expand my knitting skills. I started knitting again 6 years ago when I was diagnosed with cancer. I would love to win the needle set from Knitters Pride. Their needles are lovely.
