Hi everyone. This is Yasuko and it’s time
for Massage Monday. Per a viewer’s request this week I’m going to show you how to get
rid of nasolabial lines. Nasolabial lines are the lines between the sides of your nose
and the corners of your mouth created by the folds that shows the sign of age. I’m going to tackle this from the outside
and inside. For the outside you can massage the tight and heavy muscles and fat, push
it to the side and drain it using the lymphatic drainage technique. So first get your lymphatic
going by lightly caressing from the ear to the clavicle or collarbone on both sides.
Put the side of your index finger on the nasolabial line, lightly pinch the cheek, and circle
lightly on several locations. Put one hand on the other cheek and press up the cheek
from the side of your mouth towards the inner corner of your eye and press it to the side
to the ear, then drain the lymphatic by caressing the neck from the ear to the clavicle. Do
this several times on both sides. Facial muscles are very thin so you don’t need a lot of pressure.
Use massage cream to avoid burning your skin. Finish by covering the nasolabial lines with
the side of both index fingers, glide to the ears, and drain. Now from the inside, there are two ways to
stretch and strengthen your facial muscles. One is to roll the air. Put air in one side
of your mouth like a blow fish and roll the air under the nose, then to the other side
and bottom of your mouth. Do this several times on both directions. The other more effective
way is to roll your tongue inside your mouth between your teeth and your lips. Make one
round in 2-3 seconds. Do this 20 times in one direction and 20 times in the other direction.
Repeat it three times a day. As you will notice this is pretty hard exercise in the beginning
but you will get used to it. But if it’s too much start with 10 and gradually increase
the number. And if your neck gets tired give it a little massage. The tongue muscles are
connected to the jaw muscles so this is a good exercise to tighten the jaw line too
and effective for double chin. This exercise also improves the circulation on your face
so the texture and color of your face will improve too. The nasolabial lines can be caused by dry
skin so you can also try the acupressure for dry skin and wrinkles. You can check out the
