Hey guys welcome back to my channel. [I] had no intentions I’m filming this video But I figured I would Because when I started doing this I had no idea what I was doing and I had to google a lot So I figured I would do a little how-to Tutorial on giving yourself a B12 injection [ah] I Wasn’t taught how to do it the pharmacist didn’t say anything So I kind of just had to have fend for myself and if you are in that position And you’re searching for a video about how to give yourself an injection. This is how [I] do it I have Weekly injections, I give them to [myself] every Sunday Which helps me go throughout the week because I do have very low [B12] so what I use is I get a hundred milliliters of B12 a week. I have a 100 milliliter [um] syringe and then I also use sterile prep pads just alcohol wipes and then you always want to safely store your Used needles and so I also have this Biohazard container that I put my needle in after it’s been used because you do not just want to throw them away that it would Just be no good so the first thing I do is I’m going to clean the area so you’re just going to get a bunch of belly shots while I’m talking But it will be informational So this is how I give myself a B12 injection shot So the first thing you’re going to want to do is get your sterile alcohol wipe you won’t get these from the doctor you’ll have to buy them off of the shelf which is really cheap and Just clean where you’re going to put it I usually do it in the fattier parts of my stomach And I normally go for the right, but I go back and forth [so] today I’m going to go on the left side of my body, so I’m trying to clean the area really good and let it dry [I] will let it dry while I get my B12 syringe ready And then you’re just going to fill up your syringe with your feet well And now that I have that bowl. I am going to go ahead and take the area that I cleaned and Squeeze you want a nice fatty part of your stomach so I’m going to go right [there] And it is faster if you just go ahead and put it in there, so we’re just going to do it and slowly inject yourself with your B12 And that’s it now that you’ve got that done You’re going to want to replace your lids on your needle as well on the other end never throw them away And then if you don’t have one of these you [can] always talk to your pharmacist he’s the one [that] gave me mine, and then you’re just going to Properly store that and I keep mine on top of my fridge my kids aren’t able to touch it or find it So just make sure you’re properly store your needles So that is how I do my weekly B12 it does help a lot I know that Starting these B12 injections it can be kind of tricky So make sure to leave a comment down below telling me any questions. You have or shoot me an email I am more than [happy] to discuss my B12 injections, and how I do it in all of that So you thought this video was [helpful], please thumbs up this video? I’d really appreciate it And if you’re not already don’t forget to hit that red subscribe button down below I post videos about marriage motherhood living with celiac disease and so much more I look forward [to] seeing you guys on my next video, but until then stay positive bye guys

  1. Definitely helpful ๐Ÿ™‚ I worked in a group home for elderly women and had to do insulin shots for her and it was the same thing.

  2. this video made me nauseous and yet If I ever need b12 I will be prepared but I think my levels are ok IDK my gastro sucks i need a new one

  3. Shouldn't you use a separate needle to draw the b12? I thought plunging in the bottle contaminates and dulls the tip for a more painful injection ….

  4. My mom was prescribed b12 injections and she's too afraid to do it herself, so I was volunteered to do it for her. I was nervous about doing it but this video made it seem easy. I'm still worried I might stab her in the muscle. How do you know if you're going too deep?

  5. Is it wrong that I have 7 tattoos but I am so nervous about injecting myself? Just got my b12 injections today and I am so nervous!!!

  6. Do you have to go in so deep with the needle?

I just did my first one and only put the tip under the surface. Now there's a small welt and it kind of hurts…

  7. i searched this on youtube… gotta give them to my son for a bit and see if that improves as per doctors orders… i wasnt sure if belly was ok. ive given many shots for insulin but my first b12s ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for posting. looks pretty much the same.

  8. Thanks so much for this! I gave my 2nd B12 injection tonight and seriously almost passed outโ€”had to lay down afterwards. Pure nerves from not knowing if I was doing it right. I feel much better about t it. Thank you!!

  9. Thank you Hailey!! On B12 for 14 years and I have finally managed to do it myself, which will THRILL my husband cause he hates giving them to me thinking heโ€™s hurting me. Recently got over my phobia of needles and thought nowโ€™s as good a time as any and I did it thanks to your video ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

  10. Thank you for making this video. I give myself a different shot but it's a bit different than the B12. This was my first time doing my B12 and following your instructions made it super easy. Thank you again. I go between my thighs and my stomach since I will now be taking two different shots.

  11. Warning! She misspoke! She is not talking about 100 MILLILITERS! She is talking about 100 MICROGRAMS!

  12. I know this is from 2 years ago but THANK YOU sooo much for this! I was kinda nervous and nauseated as I prepared (aaand accidentally squirted it on the bathroom sink, lol) but I followed your directions and it was so easy! It didnโ€™t even hurt! Thank you again for making it easy and giving me the confidence I needed to do it. ๐Ÿ’–

  13. I canโ€™t get past the part of sticking in the needle. I donโ€™t know how to get over that. Also, my B12 comes with the needle and itโ€™s way larger than your needle. Can I use a smaller needle or is the product thicker with some manufacturers so a larger needle is required?

  14. I notice you plunge the needle right in? I was hoping to only need to put it in just past where the opening hole is to ensure fluid enters the skin – that was the way I was shown by my vet when having to inject my animals in the past, but not sure if for people this differs….I'm being a wuss about self injecting so hoping going in shallower is also fine? great video, thanks.

  15. Peace and blessings.

    Good information.๐Ÿ‘

I get my b-12 vials and syringes from Mexico….for 6 of each I pay $30. And I get injected every 3 days I pay $20 for each injection $120 total. Thanks to this video I am going to attempt to do this myself. At the moment I am taking sublingual B12 until someone goes to Mexico and get me me a 6 months supply. Thanks again for a most helpful information.

  16. How do you get a PC to prescribe vitamins? Mine didnโ€™t even give me vit D when the labs indicated a major deficiency and were flagged. โ˜น๏ธ

  17. Thank you` I think i just needed your guidance because I hate needles! Just did my needle with you made it easier! Much appreciated!

  18. Thank you so much for posting this! It gave me the 4 seconds of bravery I needed to change my life by learning to take care of myself. Using an 8mm insulin needle, I don't feel it and am SO grateful to never have to wait at the clinic again. ๐Ÿ™‚ FYI TO NEWBIES LIKE ME: In case anyone is reading this and hasn't done it because they're scared about the risks, I spoke with a doctor, a nurse, and a pharmacist before I did this and they all said as long as you're 2 inches away from your navel and parallel to, or under it, you can't go wrong. Even if you accidentally inject into a vein or muscle, nothing bad will happen with B12, and you never have to pull the needle back before you inject it in this area. You can buy the injectable B12 and needles at any pharmacy without a prescription for very very cheap. Be brave and do it just like she shows!

  19. I see 3 doctors for nutrition and all 3 have their staff ALWAYS give me b12 in a muscle area not a fatty area. Area really makes a difference from what all 3 of them have said. So they told me for self injections I can do it in my thigh. Insulin goes in a fatty area, B12 goes in a intramuscular area.

  20. So I did the freak out squee, hands to mouth, clenching muscles, followed by need to deep breathe just looking at you doing it. Maaaaaybe self injection isn't for me. X_x Anyone else have squicks that they were able to get over to do self injections?

  21. Thank you Haley – I was asked by a queasy neighbor to help with B12 shots – this really helped; I had no issues.

  22. Omg, thank God for YouTube I just started giving myself injections a month ago but today I gave myself one in my left arm and my arm has been numb all day so it scared me so thatโ€™s why I looked up this video to see where else I can give myself the shot, thank you so muchโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ

  23. Thank you for this video! I was feeling nervous and although my Dr. and pharmacist gave me instructions, seeing a human being like me do this makes me feel more comfortable ๐Ÿ™‚

  24. Hi Hailey, when do you give yourself the B-12 shot, in the morning or in the evening? I know it must be a silly question but Iโ€™m getting my B-12shots in the mail for the first time today and just wanted to ask ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

  25. Bless you!!! I used your vid to give my first ever b12 needle and now I feel like a pro. Thank youuuu for thinking of us<3 subbed

  26. I have to start takin b12. I got really scared just hearin shot an injecting myself. You make it seem so easy. I'm not sure if I can do it๐Ÿ˜“

  27. If you throw the needle instead of pressing into the skin it will be much easier and with no pain at all. So you hold onto the syringe not letting go of it and you use a dart like throwing motion into the skin while lightly still holding it. You can practice on a fresh peach to get the hang of it.
