Mainstream information tells us the Sun is no good for us and we should slather on sunscreen and Stay out as much as we can. But is this really true? So in today’s video, I’m gonna share with you the good and bad about sun exposure Hey everyone, this is Stephanie from fast track to health wellness center. Welcome If you’re new here Please subscribe so I can keep you up to date on the latest in natural health wellness and weight loss So I’m sure you’ve heard the stories about the Sun Being good to some being bad most of the time you hear things about it being bad Well, if you think logically how can that possibly be true? I mean if the sun is shining all the time always has been other than when it’s cloudy or rainy How can it be bad for us as human beings? It’s good for plants. It’s good for animals So why wouldn’t it be good for humans? So yes, of course the Sun is very beneficial in many ways Now one of the main things that we think of when we think of Sun is we think of vitamin D And yes That’s definitely a big benefit for being out in the Sun and there’s a lot of good reasons why vitamin D is important That’s gonna be the topic of another video I have an older video on this as well But I’m gonna make it a newer one getting into more in the mechanism of how vitamin D works in conjunction with other body chemicals vitamins and nutrients Okay, so I’m gonna save that for another time but yes vitamin D getting it from the Sun is a really great thing So let’s get into a few other things that are great about the Sun so circadian Rhythm is really important for all living creatures. We all work on a time cycle of light and dark So this is really important for humans as well. So in other words We go sort of along the rhythm of what the Sun does when it’s up when it’s down That’s how human beings are meant to be on some kind of timer. Okay, it’s called the circadian rhythm So this will is why we wake up when we do and why we go to sleep when we do has a lot to do With our energy levels has to do with our hormone level has to do with so many different things so the light and the dark exposure regarding the Sun is Why? Okay, so circadian rhythms, that’s another benefit. So next is mood. So being out in the Sun Improves your mood it stimulates neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin Which are known to be the happy Neurotransmitters that help with depression help with anxiety So the Sun automatically stimulates those so of course, that’s a great benefit That’s why a lot of people get the blues and depression in the middle of winter when the Sun is not out as much So just for that alone the Sun can improve your mood that’s a great benefit for the Sun And then lastly this is not all of the reasons in general There’s many different reasons, but I’m just keeping this list short It also increases another hormone testosterone And this is very beneficial for men and women for our energy for our strength for our mood So the Sun has lots of benefits now. There is a dark side to the Sun Obviously, you don’t want to get too much Sun which can equate in a sunburn. Okay, so sunburns definitely can be a Problem not only how they feel into your skin But you know There’s a risk of cancer when you overdo it with sunburn So you don’t want to get burned but then on the other hand if you’re gonna use sunscreen that’s also a Carcinogenic item. Okay, because there’s so many chemicals in it so if you’re gonna use sunscreen Which you probably need to do after a certain point so you don’t burn just make sure whatever you’re using is something natural You can even make your own okay, or you could just cover up your skin and limit your usage of sunscreen So just keep that in mind. So in general in my humble opinion the Sun is very beneficial in many ways I like to get out as much as I can so you can see I have a nice tan right now It’s the middle of summer where I live, but you don’t want to overdo it Nobody should be burning and I’m very careful about the the products that I put on my skin including sunscreen So those are some advantages of the good and the bad of the Sun.
