– Well a migraine itself, it’s constellation of symptoms and despite of long and thorough research, we still don’t have exact idea. There are certain mechanisms
that we do know of. One is in blood vessels. Vessels can dilate and some
element of vessel dilation and stays is certainly present. Some people who have aura may
notice relative hypoperfusion, so less blood flow comes to
the brain in particular area, causing symptoms of aura. So vascular mechanism is a part
of why people have migraine and then another part may be related to neurogenic inflammation
and what it means that nerve itself can get stimulation, and release certain chemicals, causing the cascade of
inflammatory reaction and as a result, people have
additional part of pains that may involve muscle
and tension and pressure.
